Outstanding Brewery Co. Taps Take-over week & Meet the Brewer event.

Join us for a taps takeover with Outstanding Brewing Company, 9th-14th September 2014. There is an opportunity to ‘Meet the Brewer’ on the evening of Thursday 11th September, 8-10pm.

Founded in Bury in 2008, the Outstanding Brewing Co is a micro-brewery dedicated to brewing high quality small batch beers using the finest quality ingredients.  The brewery combines traditional millennia old brewing methods with the latest modern technology to achieve its aspiration of creating Outstanding Beers.

Outstanding specialises in both cask and keg beers and operates a dual system, brewing on a 15 barrel (4320 pint) brewery and also utilising a 2.5 barrel (720 pint) brewery to brew specials and experimental beers. Outstanding has grown steadily and now has a fermentation capacity of around 35,000 pints.

The team consists of Alex, Glen, Paul, Dave, Lauren and Robin. Dave has been brewing commercially for over 20 years and has also built and installed over 200 breweries in the UK and several others abroad. Alex, Glen and Paul have been brewing since 2008 and Lauren is currently learning the ropes. Robin concentrates on sales.

The 7 beers that are featuring in the tap takeover are diverse in style and alcohol strength, ranging from 3.9% ABV to 7.4% ABV. They are brewed with English malt and hops drawn from across the globe. The countries of origin of the hops include New Zealand, North America, Slovenia and of course the UK.
